Two ways to make a thinning hairline look full again, both semi-permanent and neither of them surgery. Which one you need depends on how much hair is still in the area, and we work that out with you at the consultation. Available at our Petaling Jaya and Penang branches.
Both include 2 free touch-ups within 6 months.
Subsequent touch-ups are RM 500 for hairline embroidery and from RM 675 for SMP, both within 18 months of your last session.
Both treatments use carefully placed pigment on the scalp to fill in the gaps where hair has become thinner. Nothing is implanted and no hair is grown. The pigment simply creates the appearance of greater hair density.
The pigment is placed to follow the direction of your existing hair, so the result looks like natural hair density rather than makeup. It won’t wash off or transfer onto your pillow.
We can also reshape and slightly bring the hairline forward to create a more balanced, natural-looking forehead.
Both treatments are suitable for men and women.

No surgery

Designed to your own hairline
custom shape and colourThe shape is drawn and agreed with you before any pigment is used. Stroke direction follows the hair you already have, and the colour is mixed to your hair rather than to a chart.

within 6 monthsPigment settles differently on every scalp. Two free touch-ups inside the first 6 months are there so the density can be corrected after you have lived with it, not guessed at on the day.
Not suitable for
- Broken skin, active flaking or an irritated scalp. Wait until it has fully settled. Pigment placed into inflamed skin does not hold, and the area heals unevenly.
- Anyone expecting day-one density to be the final result. It settles softer over the first few weeks as the top layer flakes away. That is normal, and it is why the two free touch-ups exist.

Consultation & Design
Your artist assesses your hairline and scalp and designs a shape that suits your features. This is where the choice between strokes and dots gets made.

Numbing & Pigment Application
A numbing cream is applied for comfort (Hairline only). Pigment is then carefully applied in fine strokes or microdots to mimic natural hair.

Healing & Touch-Up
Your hairline will darken slightly before peeling naturally over 4 to 10 days.

Keep it dry
No water on the treated area at all during this window.
Throughout healing
No rubbing or scratching
Let the flaking happen on its own. Picking pulls pigment out with the skin.
For one week
No sun, sauna or swimming
Heat and chlorine both fade fresh pigment before it has settled.
Do not scrub the area for 5 days, and rinse the treated part with water rather than working shampoo directly into it. You can dye your hair again once the area is fully healed, after about 4 weeks.

Before you book
What is Hairline Embroidery?
Hairline embroidery is a semi-permanent treatment that fills thinning areas along the hairline with fine pigment strokes. The strokes follow your natural growth direction, so the hairline reads as complete. No surgery is involved.
What is Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)?
SMP deposits tiny pigment dots onto the scalp where hair follicles would sit. A field of dots reads as density, which is why it works on bald spots, receding hairlines and very thin hair where strokes would have nothing to blend into.
Which one is right for me, Hairline Embroidery or SMP?
It comes down to how much hair is left in the area. Mild to average thinning along the front edge suits hairline embroidery. Bald spots, a receding hairline or severe thinning suits SMP.

How much does Hairline Embroidery and SMP cost?
Hairline embroidery is RM 1,000. SMP starts from RM 1,350, which covers about 30cm², and is charged at RM 45 per cm² beyond that. Both include 2 free touch-ups within 6 months.
How long does it last?
Hairline embroidery lasts 1 to 1.5 years. SMP lasts 1 to 2 years. Both fade gradually rather than disappearing, and how fast depends on your skin type, sun exposure and aftercare.
How long does the procedure take?
Hairline embroidery takes about 2 hours. SMP takes 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the size of the area. The consultation is included in that time.
Does hairline embroidery hurt?
A numbing cream is applied before we start, so most clients feel a mild stinging rather than pain. Tell your artist if it becomes uncomfortable and we will top up the numbing.
What should I do before my appointment?
Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 2 days before, since both increase sensitivity. Stay hydrated, which helps pigment retention. Come with clean hair and no heavy hair products on the treatment area.
What is the healing process like?
Days 1 to 3 the pigment appears darker than the final result, with minor redness and sensitivity for the first 24 to 48 hours. It then flakes naturally over 4 to 10 days.
How should I care for my hairline after the procedure?
Keep the area clean and dry for the first 3 hours. Do not rub or scrub the treated area for 5 days. Avoid shampooing the area directly and use mild water rinses instead. Stay out of sun, sauna and pools for a week.
Who is NOT suitable for this procedure?
You should avoid hairline embroidery or SMP if you have diabetes, AIDS or hepatitis B, a pacemaker or major heart condition, or high blood pressure without your doctor's clearance. It is also not done during pregnancy or within 3 months of giving birth.
Can I return for touch-ups?
Yes. Two touch-ups are free within 6 months of your first session. After that, hairline embroidery touch-ups are RM 500 and SMP touch-ups start from RM 675, both booked within 18 months of your last session.
Past that window it is charged as a new session.
Can I dye my hair after Hairline Embroidery or SMP?
Yes. Wait at least 4 weeks, until the area is fully healed. Use gentle, non-irritating hair dyes and follow all post-care instructions. Keep the dye off the treated area where you can.
Is this only for men?
No. Both treatments are suitable for men and women. Women most often come for a widening parting or a thinning front hairline. Men more often come for a receding hairline or a crown.
